Analysis of the rust on the surface of the rotor of the water ring vacuum pump The feed medium of the vacuum pump contains sulfur dioxide and water. Sulfur dioxide combines with water to form sulfurous acid. Sulfurous acid has a corrosive effect on metals, which avoids the corrosion of the rotor and pump cavity. Coat the surface of the rotor and pump cavity with a Teflon layer. Corrosion of the rotor and pump cavity of the water ring vacuum pump indicates that the layer is damaged, and sulfurous acid has corroded into the pump cavity. Analysis of the reasons for the destruction of the Teflon layer of the rotor and pump cavity There can be three reasons for the destruction of the outer layer of the rotor and pump cavity: First, solid particles enter the pump cavity, and solid particles form a coating to destroy. There are chemical substances on the pump cavity and rotor to form colloids, which are carbonized and hardened, destroying the rotor and pump cavity coatings.
It is other reasons. The damage analysis of solid particles reflects on the pump inlet equipment and pipes, and no free moving solid particles such as metal fragments, iron cuts, etc. are found. Analysis of the damage of colloidal carbon deposits + photos of the attachments on the inner wall of the pump inlet pipe. The substance is dark brown, and after analysis, it contains iron, carbon, oxygen, etc. It is a polymeric substance such as butadiene and sulfoxide, which is bonded to the inner wall of the pipeline. If the substance is bonded to the pump cavity and the surface of the rotor, it is easy to carbonize and harden, thereby destroying the surface layer of the rotor. The gas phase outlet pressure of the vacuum pump is < 80kpa (A), which is negative pressure, while the liquid phase outlet of the pump is < normal pressure. Under normal conditions, the liquid at the pump outlet cannot enter the liquid tank normally, which constitutes a backflow, thereby forming the accumulation of liquid substances at the pump outlet. These liquid substances contain sulfurous acid. The accumulation of sulfurous acid liquid at the pump outlet constitutes impact corrosion on the vacuum pump. It should be said that the backflow of liquid at the pump outlet is the secondary cause of corrosion of the pump rotor and pump cavity.
